Congratulations to Ainsley Woods (Year 11) who has been selected into the IGSSA Open Basketball team. We wish Ainsley the best of luck as she prepares for the NSWCIS Championships on Thursday 10 May 2018.
ipsha cross country
Congratulations to the Loreto Normanhurst Primary Cross Country team who competed in high temperatures at the IPSHA Carnival last week. All runners competed in great spirit of participation and we are proud of all your placings. Well done!
Further congratulations to Neve Tierney (Year 6) who placed 5th in the 12 Years category and will represent IPSHA at the NSWCIS Cross Country Championships. We wish Neve all the best in her preparation for this carnival.

A make-up Cross Country trial will be held in Term 2 for students who were unable to attend this week’s trial. More information on this date will be sent to students in Week 1, Term 2.
Rowing
Congratulations to Lily Finlayson (Year 12), Rosalind Daly (Year 12), Laura Gourley (Year 11), Lucy Illek (Year 11), and Caitlin Von Behr (Year 11) who were selected to represent NSW in their Pathways Eights program. After numerous selections, Lily, Rosalind, and Laura have been placed in the top Eight to race for NSW, while Lucy and Caitlin have been listed in the reserve Eight for NSW. All rowers will compete at the Rowing Australia time trials this weekend in their respective state crews, and we wish them all the best of luck. This is an outstanding achievement for these students and their coaches. Congratulations to all!
Amendment to the Rowing Nationals squad from last week’s newsletter
Isabella Dodd (Year 10) was also part of Loreto Normanhurst rowers who took part in the Rowing Nationals in March. We congratulate Isabella on her involvement in the squad at this level and apologies for the oversight.
Netball
Congratulations to Charli Fidler (Year 9), Erin O’Brien (Year 9), and Isabelle Barker (Year 10) who were all recently selected for the NSW Indoor Netball Under 16’s team. What an outstanding achievement! Good luck girls, and we can’t wait to hear about your experience with the NSW team.

Favourite sporting moment as a spectator: NRL grand final 2015 Broncos vs Cowboys and JT kicking a field goal in golden point to win! I go for the Cowboys!
