Congratulations to Rachel Osborne (Year 12) who has been selected to play for the 2018 Hockey NSW Under 18 Women Blues Team. Rachel will compete at the Australian National Championships next month in Launceston, Tasmania.


Congratulations to Breanna Harris (Year 7) who competed with her Under 12 Netball team at the Pan Pacific games in Adelaide last December. Breanna’s team won and they are now national champions!


Congratulations to all rowers who competed at the PLC/Kings and IGSSA Rowing Regattas last weekend. Loreto Normanhurst placed 2nd overall at the PLC/Kings Regatta, and 6th overall at the IGSSA Regatta. Well done girls on an outstanding result. All the best as you continue your preparations for this season’s Head of the River and Rowing Nationals events.

IPSHA & IGSSA Representative Trials

Congratulations to the following girls who took part in an IPSHA or IGSSA Representative team trial. These girls trialled against players from across all IPSHA and IGSSA schools and played extremely well, showcasing their skills and Loreto spirit. Well done girls on an outstanding effort.

Best moment of Loreto Sport for you: Meeting new friends in my Year 7 football team.

Favourite sporting moment as a spectator: Watching NSW narrowly be defeated by QLD in the second State of Origin game (2017).

Best subject at school: Maths.

Any superstitions before playing sport: I always eat three Weetbix before any swim meet.

Best tune to listen to before competing: It’s a long way to the top – ACDC (80s).
