Hills Netball Grand Finals
There were some fantastic matches at Hills Netball last weekend in their Preliminary Final round.
We had teams in the 13/2s, 13/3s, 13/4s, 15/4s and Cadet’s 3 divisions competing for a spot in the Grand Finals, with four Loreto teams making it through to the big game last weekend! Congratulations to Team 7 (13/2) and Team 8 (13/3) who won their Grand Final Matches.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our HDNA committee for all the hard work they put in this season – their experience and input has been invaluable and their input and presence both during the week and on Saturdays has been a wonderful asset.
IGSSA Semi-Finals
We had a number of hockey and netball teams contesting semifinals for their IGSSA competitions over the weekend across Sydney. Full results are still coming through but congratulations to all teams for their efforts on Saturday.
Snowsports
Well done to Zali Gordon (Year 9), who competed at the Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships on the weekend in Mt Buller. Zali took on the best Year 9 and 10 snowboarders in Australia in the Snowboard GS event and placed 29th over all.!
Indoor Hockey
Big congrats to Olivia Fanning (Year 9) who has been selected to represent North Shore at the U/15s Girls Indoor Hockey State Championships in October – we wish her all the best at those championships!
football
Congratulations to Isabelle Hatton (Year 11) and Victoria Martin (Year 11) who played together for Koalas U/17s Premier League football in their grand final and won the Premiership. Koalas is the only all-female club in the competition and they took out the Club Championship. Well done girls!
primary school
Big news for Breanna Harris (Year 6) being selected in the NSW PSSA Netball team to compete at the Pacific Schools Games in Adelaide in December. She was part of a successful CIS team that competed in the NSW PSSA Championships at Tamworth last week, who finished 2nd overall. Well done, Breanna!
touch football
Congratulations and good luck to Tatum Bird (Year 11), Kiarra Williams-Browne (Year 11), Jessica Drummond (Year 11) and Elizabeth Bauer (Year 11) who have been selected into the CIS Touch Football teams and will compete at the Touch Football National Youth Championships from September 13th-17th.
