Congratulations to the Athletics Team  for finishing as Division 2 Champions and placing 9th overall at the IGSSA Athletics Carnival. We also had excellent results from Amy McFadden (Year 8), who won the 15’s High Jump with a stellar jump of 1.60m, and Sarah Playford (Year 12) who earned a bronze in the 17’s 800m. Congratulations to both these girls!

We also wish our Primary School athletes the very best of luck as they compete at the IPSHA Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 29th at SOPAC.

Rep Netball

Loreto were fantastically represented in both the Opens and 15/U IGSSA Teams at the CIS Championships this week, with Sophie Dwyer (Year 10), Erin O’Brien (Year 8) and Charli Fidler (Year 8) all involved. Both squads went through the Championships undefeated with special mention going to Sophie, who was selected into the Opens CIS squad! Congratulations to all the girls involved.

Congratulations to Annabelle Gohl (Year 7) and Faith Zalm (Year 9) who won Division 3 in the North West Secondary Schools Tennis Challenge last Saturday night. The Loreto Tennis squad finished 3rd overall in the 2017 points table – a huge congrats to all the girls who participated in these events across the year and who represented Loreto so well.

Our snowsports competitors continue their run of success on the slopes for Normo as Eliza Rossell (Year 7) and Zali Gordon (Year 9) both had success at the NSW Interschools Snowsports Championships. Zali finished 9th in the Snowboard GS and Eliza finished 9th in the BoarderX – both results earning them invites to the National Snowsports Championships in Mt Buller in September! Zali also placed 2nd in the Amelia McGuinness Time Trial, which was a great result.

hills netball

The regular season Hills Netball competition has come to an end and we’ve had some excellent results, with 7 teams qualifying for the semi-finals this weekend. Good luck to teams 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in their matches this weekend and a huge thanks to the players, coaches and parents of all teams for their efforts this season!

Well done to Yasmin Say (Year 8), who has been selected in the NSW Under 15’s Badminton team to compete at the National Championships in Perth in September! We wish her all the best in Perth.

Duke of Edinburgh

Congratulations to the Bronze Duke of Ed participants who completed their qualifying canoeing journey at Kangaroo Valley last weekend – all girls received a pass from the instructors! A huge thank you to the three parent volunteers who gave up their weekend to accompany the girls on the trip as the school’s representatives.
