Saturday Sport
This weekend marks the last weekend for Term 2 sports, with IGSSA Football, IGSSA Netball and IPSHA Hockey wrapping up their seasons. Best of luck to all teams competing this weekend, particularly those who are still in the hunt to finish top of their divisions.
Hills Netball continues as we go past the halfway mark of that competition, and please remember that there is another round fixture on Saturday 29 June (first weekend of school holidays).
Mollie Dive Hockey
Well done to our Mollie Dive squad, who finished off the traditional pre-season competition this week. We entered a senior and a junior team and it was fantastic to see the development of the players over the course of this term. Mollie Dive is a great way for the girls to tune up their skills and work on team goals ahead of the upcoming IGSSA Hockey season in Term 3. Well done, girls!
Primary School Athletics Carnival
Unfortunately, due to the predicted rain over the weekend and early next week, the Primary School Athletics Carnival will be postponed until early Term 3. Once a new date has been selected, all Primary students and parents will be informed as soon as possible.
Diving
Congratulations to Charlotte Horbach (Year 5) who has been selected to represent NSW and the NSW Institute of Sport at the Australian Elite Junior Diving Championships next week in Brisbane. Charlotte will be competing in the 1 metre and 3 metre springboard individual events as well as 3 metre synchro. Best of luck Charlotte!
Basketball
Well done to Emily Paterson (Year 6) whose CIS team just came 4th in the NSW Primary Schools Basketball championships in Albury. Whilst Emily just missed out on selection into the NSW team, there was a pretty awesome consolation prize as she got to meet ex-Australian Opal, Lauren Jackson!
Wet Weather Information
A reminder for how to access information regarding ground closures due to wet weather for weekend sport. Please make sure you check the relevant website prior to leaving home to ensure your venue is open for play.

Correct Sport Uniform
An important note regarding correct sport uniform for Saturday competition sport:
Students who are not dressed in the correct uniform for competition will not be allowed to play. In the case that a Loreto Sport staff member is not present, your team coach will have the authority to remove a student from play and/or not allow a student to start play. Thank you in advance, for your cooperation in this matter. It is our expectation that you will be appropriately dressed and in uniform while representing Loreto Normanhurst. Please see your sport specific booklets for full details on what uniform is required for your sport.
