CHEERLEADING
A massive congratulations to our cheer team who went out to Brookvale to compete in the Battle of the Beaches and came away with 1st place in their division! It was an awesome achievement and a deserved culmination to what is a very long season. Well done, girls!

ATHLETICS
Well done to a couple of our stars of the track – Elli Barron and Zara Warland were out at Olympic Park on Saturday competing in the Athletics NSW 3000m championships. Elli took out the race with a winning time of 11:24.29, which was then followed by Zara putting in a huge effort in her race to record a time of 10:49.66, which is a national qualifier! What a great job by both girls.

WOMEN IN SPORT
With school holidays just around the corner, there are so many opportunities to get out and watch the very best Australia’s female athletes have to offer. After the Matildas beat Chile this week, the W-league is straight back in action with games running throughout the school holidays. Our women cricketers have qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in the West Indies, but if that’s a bit too far to go to catch a game, it’s not long til Season 3 of the WBBL gets underway. If indoor sports are more your thing, the WNBL is into Round 6 this weekend and before you know it, it’ll be 2019 and AFLW and Super Netball will be back. What an excellent opportunity for the students of Loreto Normanhurst to witness some of the best live sport Australia has to offer! Remember, if she can see it, she can be it!

CORRECT SPORT UNIFORM

Students who are not dressed in the correct uniform for competition will not be allowed to play. In the case that a Loreto Sport Staff member is not present, your team coach will have the authority to remove a student from play and/or not allow a student to start play. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. It is our expectation that you will be appropriately dressed and in uniform while representing Loreto Normanhurst. Please see your sport specific booklets for full details on what uniform is required for your sport.
