Success means having the courage, the determination and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be.
As we reflect on our year together as a community we give thanks for the successes. Thank you to students for all their gifts and for their willingness to work together as they do. For taking up the challenges, for being cheerful givers, for their creativity, their exuberance, their joy and for giving their all each day.
Thank you to parents for giving your daughters and the school your support. Thank you for having the courage to embrace the ideas we as a school have brought to you and your daughters this year and for moving with the rapid rate of change that is the everyday at Loreto Normanhurst.
As we applaud the success of the year we know that it has taken a village of loving people for success to exist. Parents who love and encourage, friends who support and accept, and staff who inspire. At Loreto Normanhurst we all work hard for this special mix.
We have celebrated so much in the last weeks and I give thanks for, and to, the whole community. As we say our goodbyes and close our laptops on another year, I wish all families, staff and students a blessed Christmas and peaceful new year period. Thank you all for the love and care you have given to me over my years; it has been a privilege and a gift to be Principal of Loreto Normanhurst.
Let us remember this Christmas season, the beautiful and simple story of the Nativity and all that it means about rebirth – new beginnings and the celebration of love, wonder and family.
“Remember that God be the end of all your actions.”
With prayers of peace and hope,
Ms Barbara Watkins
