Term 1 – we are halfway!
Open Day was not just a wonderful showcasing, but also celebration, of our Loreto community. For our students, it was an opportunity to demonstrate their school spirit, their leadership skills and their general friendliness and enthusiasm for helping others. They deserve our gratitude and praise. Many students went well beyond their prescribed ‘duty’. A huge thank you also to our parents who facilitated their daughters’ service before or on Open Day.
As we are around the half-way point of term, it is easy to become tired or forget that others around us may also be a little tired. Our House time session this week was an important reminder of the power of kindness as an important way to build respectful relationships; and following on from the SRC’s Supergirl week, students were reminded of the values around “Girls by Girls” and being kind and supportive to each other. Hopefully your daughter can tell you what her ‘kindness pledge’ was as we seek to #makekindnessthenorm. See the photo gallery below.
