Co-Presidents’ Message

Gosh, we are already more than halfway through Term 2, where did that time go? We have a few special events coming up before the end of term and a couple that are just around the corner at the beginning of Term 3 in August, so make sure you have updated your diaries with key information. A few of our highlights are listed for you below:

Year Group social functions:

Our Parent Coordinators have been busy finalising plans for social events within each individual year group.  Keep your eye out for emails about these events in your inbox;

Saturday 3 June 7:00pm Year 12 Parent Cocktail Party,  at the home of Louise and Martin Duursma. Please click here for the invitation.
Friday 16 June Year 9 Parent Drinks and Canapes

Mother/Daughter Dinner: Epping Club – Sold Out!

SATURDAY 17 JUNE 2017 – 6:15PM

Such a special event and  the perfect way to close out Term 2. Tickets have already sold out for this much anticipated event and we look forward to seeing you there!

Please click here for the invitation.

Annual Trivia Night: gymnasium

Saturday 5 August 2017 – 7pm

Our Annual Trivia Night will soon be here, not long after our return from holidays. This is a fabulous night to get a group of friends together and show how much trivia you do or don’t know! Of course, don’t worry if trivia is not your strong point, bring along a plate of food and a beverage to share, enjoy the laughter and conversation at your table and join in a few of the additional activities on offer to raise funds for our Parent Association.

Invitations will go out in the next few weeks, so start thinking about getting a table together and join us for this wonderful event!

Mission Lunch: Friday 11 August 2017 – Save the Date!

Each year we organise a lunch or dinner to raise money for a very worthwhile cause: the Loreto Mission in Entally India.

This year we will be holding a lunch event, so please save the date and gather a group of friends together to come along to this luncheon and hear from our guest speaker, whilst enjoying a casual meal in the Gonzaga Barry Centre at Loreto Normanhurst.

More details to follow over the next few weeks.

City/Country Mothers’ Weekend Away

Time to start talking about our plans and ensuring you have secured a place on the City/Country Mothers weekend away 2017.

Let us paint the picture of what this lovely weekend might look like for you:

Casual Dinner and drinks on Friday evening, with a sleep in on Saturday morning (I am in already!!).  Then, we will have a few options to consider for the latter part of Saturday morning, before we head off to Molong Farm for a very long, leisurely lunch (oh my, do we have to wait until November?).

Our bus chauffeurs will drive us out to Molong Farm, where the farm gates will be open to welcome our arrival for our lunch within a traditional farm setting. A tour of the farm will be on offer for anyone interested, a stroll through the micro-brewery (a possibility if inclined), or simply sitting and sipping wine, whilst enjoying the beautiful fresh fare “from paddock to plate” that this lovely farm is renowned for. Sounds just about right, we think, for a Saturday lunch to late afternoon activity.

After a fun filled day we will return to Orange for the evening where friends can connect if they wish, or for the busy mums to take a night off and relax with a good book and a bubble bath……where do I sign up! Whatever you fancy, it is YOUR time out, so take some time to think about what might suit you for a Saturday evening away.

On Sunday, after a sleep in AGAIN!  (do we have to go back home?) you may wish to take a leisurely morning walk to the historic Catholic Church for Mass if desired, with a beautiful brunch/lunch on offer to close out our weekend before we farewell this beautiful region to meander back to Sydney and back to the the real world…… until next time.

Next steps:

We will need to confirm numbers to lock in our venues and activities. If you would like to join us (and we hope you do!), please use the link below to register your commitment and reserve your place with a $50.00 holding deposit, which will be deducted from the overall expenses for the weekend

We mothers deserve a treat…so book NOW and begin the countdown with us to our wonderful weekend away!

NB: This year we are organising our own accommodation. I have been advised that the weekend we have chosen might be a little busy in Orange, so I suggest you source and book your accommodation early.

Finally, can we please ask you to consider purchasing an Entertainment Book.  See details below:
