Co-Presidents’ Message

We hope everyone has now settled back into Term 2. We are looking forward to catching up at one or more of the many social events happening over the course of this term.

Boarder Community “Main Event”: Gymnasium

Friday 5 May 2017 – 6:00pm

Taking place this evening, Main Event is a firm favourite on the Boarding Community’s calendar.  It’s  a fun evening run by our Year 12 students, where boarding families enjoy some wonderful light entertainment  organised solely by the students.  Mrs Sara Roche, our Boarder Liaison, will provide an update on this event for next week’s newsletter.

Year 7 Family Dinner: gymnasium

Saturday 6 May 2017 – 6:00pm

Our best wishes to all our Year 7 families attending the Year 7 Family Dinner on Saturday evening. A great night for the young and the young at heart. Our special thanks to Mrs Jane Dalton, PAL Co-Vice President and her team of Year 8 parents who have kindly volunteered to set up this event for the Year 7 families. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Friday 12 May 2017 – 10:30am

The final touches are currently being made for the annual Loreto Normanhurst/Kirribilli Morning Tea.What a lovely way to start the day with a nicely brewed cup of tea or coffee, some home made morning tea treats, shared with Mums from Loreto Kirribilli, whilst we hear from our  guest speaker Cathy O’Connor, Chief Executive Officer, Nova Entertainment. This year, this special Morning Tea will take place  at Loreto Normanhurst. We will provide the venue and the morning tea and Loreto Kirribilli have  organised our guest speaker, who we cannot wait to hear from. We hope many Mums can join us for this lovely event.

Friday 24 – Sunday 26 NOVEMBER

We want to ask all Mums to SAVE THE DATE for our eagerly awaited City/Country Mothers’ Weekend Away for 2017 following the great success of our 2016 event.

We are not following in the footsteps of the Dads, rather we are blazing our own trail, following on from our surveyed responses from participants last year, where the majority indicated that after visiting Mudgee, they would next like to explore the Orange region in 2017.

Several Mums have approached me, keen to be on the organising team for 2017 which is fantastic! If you would also like to join the organising team (also ok by phone if you are country based, which worked well last year), everyone is welcome, please drop me an email  and we  can catch up by phone and/or face-to-face early in Term 2 to get some details locked in.

This year we will have Mums source their own accommodation to simplify logistics. I have been advised that the weekend we have chosen might be a little busy in Orange, so I suggest you source and book accommodation early!

We will send out the formal invitation with the deposit to secure your place early in Term 2, so keep your eye out for this email too!

There is such a lot to look forward to throughout this term and we hope to see you at one or more of these events. Thank you again to the PAL team for helping to coordinate these lovely social events, with the help of our Parent Co-ordinators and our wider parent community.

Finally, can we please ask you to consider purchasing an Entertainment Book once more. See details below:
