Open Day 2017
A great success once more. A sincere thank you to our parent community across Years 5 – 12 for coming together and providing such wonderful hospitality to our visitors and prospective parents who came to visit Loreto Normanhurst last Saturday to enjoy Open Day. The day did not disappoint with gorgeous sunshine and lots of laughter amongst the Parent Association (PAL) sponsored stalls. A special thank you to Kate Brown and Anna Boldiston who coordinated the Cake Stall, Louise Wytenberg and Sue Whipps who organised our Devonshire Tea Stall and Mal Foubister who cooked up a storm throughout the day at the BBQ. A huge thank-you also to all of our parent volunteers who worked so tirelessly throughout the day on these stalls, without whom our Open Day success would not be possible.
Finally, we would like to thank all of the parents who baked cakes for the Cake Stall, dropped off girls for their rosters and came along to chat to all of our visitors on the day. Your efforts were all greatly appreciated.
Term 1 Boarder Parent Committee Meeting – An update from Mrs Sara Roche, our Boarder Parent Liaison;
We held our first Boarder Parent Committee Meeting with Ms Barbara Watkins, Mrs Kate Kovacs and Mrs Alicia Maunsell on Friday 10 March and we would like to thank all of our Boarder Parents who attended this meeting. We understand that it is not possible to be in Sydney for all meetings, especially if you have been chasing the rowing regatta calendar as well!
Ms Natalie Brumby will send out the minutes of the meeting shortly, which will outline all that was covered. Mrs Kovacs explained how the girls book homework tutors, which was very informative and we are sure she will share this again for those who missed the presentation.
