Spring Fair 2019 – what a day !
After many weeks of preparation the day finally arrived filled with fun rides, kids’ crafts, bear-building, animals, music performances and farm skills, dancing, cheerleading, yummy food, homemade goodies, produce, plants, memorabilia, entertainment and lots of retail therapy. Books, delicious baked goods and beautifully displayed gift baskets for sale – there was so much to see and do!
The storm held out until late in the day, so we were able to enjoy all the day’s festivities. It was also wonderful to hear news of some very welcome rain which reached some of the drought-affected areas of the land that very weekend.
One very lucky staff member was the winner of the fabulous car prize ! Other raffle prizes included a Loreto Swim Voucher and Loreto merchandise; a mystery flight; original artwork; luxury boat hire; Sydney Harbour cruise and silver jewellery – as well as rural themed raffles – thanks to all our generous sponsors and those who donated goods for this most wonderful day. Thanks to our tent construction crew; bbq helpers, stall organisers and helpers, runners, chocolate wheel spruikers; stage presenters, ticket sellers…. the list goes on!
The inaugural Young Farmer Challenge was a great opportunity for the boarding community to work together and were most grateful for the donations and help offered to run the event. Friendships were reunited at the Boarder Farmers’ Market through City/Country connections and tasting boards were shared. Special thanks to those involved with the collection and unpacking of the pallets from Sydney Market. Another first – the first ever Battle of the Bands – was a success and exciting emerging talent blitzed the stage. The Junior winners: Yooniversal from Barker College and Jam5 from Marian College, Kenthurst.
We thank all the committee members, school staff, students, ex-students, maintenance team and parents who worked before, during and after the day to ensure it was a success. It was a huge day for all our community – both past and present – and a fantastic day achieved through great team work.

Year Parent Representatives 2020
In 2020 the PAL “Year Parent” representatives will play an important role in the Loreto community. The Parent representative’s role is to build friendships, strengthen community and facilitate communication amongst parents and carers in their Year group. This will include organising events for parent, encouraging parent support, assistance and participation at school events and welcoming new families. Through this we aim to bring parents of respective Year groups together as they share their daughter’s journey through Loreto.
If you are interested in being a Year Parent Representative for your daughter’s Year group please contact Jane Dalton via email jdalton@workarena.com.au or on 0410 300 402
To get in touch with PAL for any questions please contact us via email.
Have an enjoyable weekend,
