Parent Association

We’re coming to the last three full weeks of term and this is always a very busy time for everyone – however we still have some great events for your enjoyment. This weekend our Year 12 mums will be enjoying the weekend in Mudgee and we’ll have an update for you in next week’s newsletter. Last Monday we saw lots of smiling faces at the Primary Parent Dinner. It was great to see these parents starting their Loreto journey and a lovely evening was enjoyed by all.

Next weekend, Saturday 30th March, is time for our Year 7 families to enjoy some ‘boot-scooting’ – so if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, then this is your last chance to do so. Please click here.

The country is coming to town! We warmly invite all mothers to join us for the annual City/Country Mothers’ Lunch. This special event is the day when city and country mums connect  and we celebrate the unique Loreto bond we share.   Primary, secondary, boarding and day mothers come together in the Boarders’ Dining Room for a relaxed lunch, a lot of laughs, and amazing raffle prizes – including farm-fresh produce donated by our generous rural families.

It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet many more new ones around a shared table, before heading into the Sydney International Convention Centre  to enjoy the Music Festival. We encourage you to get a group of friends together and book  your table, and if you don’t know anyone, don’t worry, this is ‘Normo’! Book your ticket and we will seat you with friendly faces from your year group. Many warm friendships have begun over a glass  of bubbly at this very special event. Tickets sell fast so book now!  We look forward to seeing you there.

Let’s not forget the dads! As mentioned last week, it’s time to plan our City/Country Fathers’ Weekend away including deciding on the town we’d like to visit. If you are a country dad or group of dads who would like to show off your town and surrounding areas then please send your ideas to PAL. Activities that we’ve done in the past on our weekend away include a golf afternoon, wine tasting, cellar door visit, local restaurant evening meal, rugby match and a museum visit. So please give it some thought and let us know your ideas by Monday 25 March  and we’ll start organising.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to become a Year Parent Coordinator. Jane Dalton will be contacting you with a date to meet up so please keep an eye on your emails for this too.

We hope you continue to enjoy these events together with  friendship building, fundraising and being a Loreto parent! To get in touch with us, please contact us via email.
