Firstly, we’d like to say on behalf of all parents, a very sincere ‘thank you’ to Ms Grace Paraino, Dean of Development and Alumni, and Ms Lauren Kirkby, Events Coordinator, for their organisation of a fantastic cocktail evening last Friday for all parents. There were over 400 parents who attended and this made for a beautiful friendship-raising event and a time to say ‘Hi’ to parents you’ve not met before. So thank you to all of you too.
It’s likely you’ve already seen details for our Open Day organising, both from Ms Sophie Kearns, Deputy Principal, and from PAL regarding the Cake Stall Working Bee and volunteering for the BBQ and Devonshire Tea stalls. If you’ve not already done so we invite you to join in to help showcase Loreto Normanhurst.
This week we’ve enjoyed presenting to our Year 7 to Year 10 parents about how PAL will be engaging with you all with during the year. It’s been great to see so many of you gathering to understand what is ahead this year for your daughter and also for you. As always, the theme from PAL is engaging with one another socially, enjoying events, contributing your time in whatever way you can spare, raising funds along the way and most importantly, making friends and enjoying your time at Loreto Normanhurst.
Our Year 7 parents and students will all have the chance to put on their ‘bootscooting’ boots and join in the fun on Saturday 30 March. Every year this event is attended by most Year 7 families and a link to buy your tickets is listed below – so please make sure you get in quick to reserve your table.
Traditionally, Year 8 parents help out and already have been emailed regarding setup of the Year 7 Family Dinner so we ask that anyone who would like to help Louise and myself to email us please.
Also, bookings will open soon for the City/Country Mothers Lunch on Friday 12 April so keep an eye open as the seats do go very quickly.
Lastly, we will be forming our Spring Fair Committee soon and ask now for anyone or any group of parents who would like to join us on the main organising team. We usually have 10-12 parents who are happy to work with a team to organise one of the areas, for example the school stalls, or the kids corner, so if that’s you, then please let us know via email@example.com
Please let us know if you would like to join the wider team as our Year Parent Coordinators. Usually there are two to four for each year and we run an information session to provide details to those who are interested or who volunteer straight away. If you are interested in becoming a coordinator this year then please send us an email.

Primary Parent Welcome Dinner & Maths Information Evening

Primary Parents are invited to join Loreto Normanhurst staff and other primary parents for a maths information evening with special guest presenter Laurinda Lomas followed by the Primary Parent Welcome Dinner. RSVPs for the Primary Parent Dinner and/or the Primary Maths Information Night are essential so please ensure you book to confirm your attendance to one or both of the events.

Please join us for this boot scooting family event. A fantastic night to meet up with parents and students from your daughter’s House. This event is always such an enjoyable family evening, with both a country theme and some lively boot scooting.
Year 12 City/Country Mothers’ Weekend Away – Escape to Mudgee
Friday 22 – Sunday 24 March
For some, another daughter is entering her last year of school, for others, it’s our first time experiencing the beginning of all ‘the lasts’ with the Year 12 cohort of 2019.
To mark this occasion we have booked a weekend away to share our stories and laugh and reminisce about the very special years we have shared together at Loreto Normanhurst with the Year 12 graduating Class of 2019.
