To the students who participated in trials for the Legacy Public Speaking Competition this week. It was great to see a number of Year 7 and 8 students participating in the trials. Congratulations to Frances O’Brien (Year 8) and Tahlia Moses (Year 7) who were selected to represent Loreto Normanhurst at this years’ competition to be held in the coming weeks.

UN Youth Crisis Point
NSW United Nations Youth are running a crisis point summit for students in Years 7-10. It is practical problem based one-day activity, where students work together in real time to develop a real working solution to a problem that is given to the students on the day. This is a new initiative run by Youth UN and is for students who want to challenge themselves. If you are interested, please contact Ms O’Dwyer ASAP.
UN Youth NSW Junior Leadership Weekend
Registrations are now open for students in Years 7 and 8 who are interested in making a change and being a leader. This is a two day program run by Youth UN NSW and held in September. Take a look here and if you are interested, please contact Ms O’Dwyer.
