Welcome to Loreto Normanhurst Oratory for 2019
We welcome new students in all year groups and to our new community members in the primary school. Oratory is building up for another year of exciting events and we look forward to once again seeing many of our students take part in the varied opportunities that we provide at Loreto Normanhurst.
Over the coming weeks, information will begin to be emailed to students regarding the various teams and competitions they can enrol in. I encourage you to sit with your daughters and discuss their goals for extra-curricular activities this year. There are a number of opportunities that cater for all levels.
Congratulations to Swetha Kumar who represented Loreto Normanhurst at this year’s St Ives Lions Club, Youth of the Year Program. Swetha underwent an interview process and the following night presented a prepared speech and two impromptu speeches extremely well.
Students have been emailed information regarding The Catholic Schools Association Public Speaking Competition and also Rostrum Voice of Youth. Try outs for students who have nominated will be this coming week and information will be emailed to you in regards to this process. The dates for both competitions are below.
If your daughter has nominated, can you please ensure that she is available for all dates for the competitions. Unfortunately, only the first round date for Rostrum has been released and the venues for CSDA have not been announced. This information will be communicated to the students once we receive it.
