Music Festival

The countdown is on for the Music Festival on Wednesday 29 March 2017. Doors open at 6:00pm with the show to begin sharply at 7:00pm.  Students have been practising in their House choirs and it is lovely to walk the halls during lunch time rehearsals and hear a sneak peak of what is to come!

Auditions for individual acts for music and dance were held this week. Congratulations to the students who auditioned. The standard was high right across the board and we look forward to seeing the performances from those selected at the Music Festival.


In last week’s newsletter, we mentioned that transport to the Music Festival would be a return train from Normanhurst. Further investigations have proved that to travel to the International Convention Centre, a special train is not the best option. As a result, we  will be providing a couple of options for student travel: from students making their own way to the venue, students catching supervised trains from specific train stations and also charter buses departing from the school in the morning. These options are outlined in the permission slip that will be sent home with your daughter on Monday.  An FAQ’s document will also be provided  with the permission note. We encourage you to take time to read through the provided FAQ’s document with your daughters to prepare for the event.


Tickets for this year’s Music Festival have gone on sale via Trybooking. Tickets are $75 pp. There are no limits on the number of tickets that you can purchase. All students are provided with a seat so you do not have to purchase a ticket for your daughter. Please ensure that you have either printed tickets or a copy of your tickets on your phone to access the theatre and your seats.
