Year 12 Academic Plenary Meeting Evening – Friday 23 February 2018
Academic Plenaries are opportunities for students, supported by teachers, to share their learning progress with their parents. Teachers will be available for 5-minute meetings from 3:30pm to 6.30pm in the School Gymnasium. Should you have a matter to discuss that will take longer than the allocated time, we request that you make an appointment with the class teacher.
Bookings for the Plenary meetings are made using PTO free App or website (instructions below). The system is now open for bookings and will remain open until midnight on Thursday 22 February. On the day of the Plenaries, changes or cancellations will need to be advised by email.
To make your bookings online:
- Go to the PTO Login page
- The PTO booking site will be launched. Tick OBTAIN PIN/PASSWORD and enter the email address you have provided to the school as your contact email which should be the address at which you received this information. Your individual PIN will be emailed to you.
- Full instructions for making your bookings will appear on your screen.
- Check the times booked and either print the booking schedule or download the PTO App to refer to on the evening.
On PTO App:
- Download App
- Select Region Australia
- Add School Code 3z95a
- Follow prompts
When making your bookings, please leave adequate time to move between appointments – 5 to 10 minutes is suggested. Teachers will endeavour to meet the appointment time, but there are always inevitable delays. We ask for your patience during the evening. Some teachers may have requested an interview with you in which case a yellow highlighted ! symbol will be displayed alongside the class name.
Parking will be available on the oval (weather permitting), or any carpark on campus. Prior to attending your meetings, please register with Mrs Rachael Jarick at the check-in desk and collect your name tag. Tea, coffee and water will be available in the afternoon/evening. In line with our sustainability focus, it would be appreciated if you could please bring your own reusable cup if you have one and/or a refillable drink bottle.
Please email Mrs Rachael Jarick in the Learning Office if you have any questions or if you find you are unable to attend an appointment on the afternoon of the Plenaries.

Year 7 Laptops
The students in Year 7 were all very excited to receive their laptops this week. We ask the girls to look after their device by using the laptop carry case provided, and to be mindful where they use their device so that it does not accidentally fall off a chair, desk or lap.
We encourage the appropriate use of laptops for digital organisation and to enhance learning. To this end, the Year 7 Advisors lead the girls through a series of rotating workshops. These included understanding how to perform backup through “Backup and Sync” in the Google Suite via Google Drive, the creation of folders, how to use Outlook mail folders and rules, the basics of Word and an introduction to Canvas.
If your daughters have any issues with their laptop please encourage them to ask teachers for advice, visit the staff at the IT help desk or email me.
