On Tuesday Hospitality students held a morning tea. A component of the Hospitality course is to complete a series of service periods whereby we prepare different food items to serve to invited guests. We prepared and served sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and ice cream to 19 staff members. We were so fortunate that Ms Watkins and Ms Ugonotti were able to join us for this special morning tea.
Working to specific time frames to prepare and serve food items is a great learning experience and one that represents service in the hospitality industry. Participating in the service periods also provides the opportunity to work as a team to present a dish of industry standard. Over the past two years it has been an enjoyable experience to participate in these service period opportunities.
