Director of Development

As we move into Term Four we are excitedly preparing to welcome new families to our community.  Beginning with Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day today when we were delighted to host the grandparents, relatives and family friends of our Year 7 students.  This event is an opportunity for the students to showcase their school and their learning to those who play a very significant role in their lives.

In the upcoming weeks we will welcome students who will be joining us in 2017 in Primary, Year 7 and Years 8 to 11.   Together, with their parents, the Orientation Days will be the introduction to their Loreto Normanhurst journey; a time to become acquainted with staff and students and for the incoming boarders, the experience of a “sleepover” as part of their Orientation.

During November we will host a Morning Tea to welcome the families who are planning for their pre-schoolers to join us in 2023 in Primary and 2025 in Year 7.   A most enjoyable morning for these little girls who delight in playing with a new group of friends whilst their parents learn more about the school and the community.

I know many mothers and daughters are looking forward to the Mother Daughter Dinner on October 29.  This event, together with the Father Daughter Dinner, was initiated four years ago and continues to grow in popularity.  Events such as these offer the occasion for our families to build friendships, to support the school and to celebrate the shared values that unite us in community.

Promotion of Loreto Normanhurst through strong relationship management is a key goal for Development.  The work of the Development Team incorporates community relations, enrolments, fundraising programs, marketing/communications/publications, special events and alumni relations.  Please contact me  via email or 02 9473 7331 if you would like further details of the role of Development in the school.
