Development News and Events

Last Monday we were delighted to welcome many grandparents and special friends of Year 7 for a liturgy in the Chapel followed by morning tea, a school tour and some time in the classroom. Thank you to all the grandparents and special friends who were able to attend and share time together with Year 7 in their school environment.
It was lovely to see many parents, ex-students and friends at the Mary Ward Justice Forum on Wednesday evening. There was thought provoking discussion with our expert guest speakers Julian Burnside AO QC, Professor Dr David Isaacs and Dr Sara Townend.
We hope that all our HSC families are going well during this exam stage and that the girls are getting excited about the future and what lies beyond. On the other end of the journey, the school welcomed our incoming 2019 families on Thursday for Orientation Day. It is always exciting to meet the newest members of our community and share in the commencement of their journey, as well as those of our primary families moving into secondary.
A reminder that on 27 November, the Parent Association will be having their AGM and voting for the 2019 committee will be taking place. Everyone is welcome and perhaps you’d like to get involved next year? It is going to be a big one with the Spring Fair in November 2019, and all help would be very much appreciated.
Additionally, the Ex-Students’ Association AGM will be held on Sunday 2 December. Details about voting for both events will be forwarded shortly.
If you wish to get involved in PAL, or if you have any questions, Tracey Hartshorne & Rob Critchlow (Co-Presidents) would love to hear from you! Please contact PAL via email .
