YEAR 12 CHECKLIST
UAC have created a checklist to guide Year 12 students through the process of applying through UAC. Students are encouraged to take this checklist home, so parents are also aware of key information about admissions.
EDUCATIONAL ACCESS SCHEME (EAS)
Students requiring the school to complete the Educational Impact Statement (EIS) should hand in a copy of their statement to Ms Kieryn Bateman, Director of Learning, by Tuesday 11 September.
SCHOOLS RECOMMENDATION SCHEME (SRS)
SRS is open to ALL students.

The Careers Office is open to all students. We are available in the office, located in the LRC, before and after school, and at recess and lunch. Girls are most welcome to drop in but at times we can be busy with students, so the best thing to do is to send an email indicating your availability or drop in with your diary to schedule a time.

Scholarships at TAFE NSW
If your students enroll at TAFE NSW they may be eligible to apply for the many scholarships that are available.
Early Entry Program to TAFE NSW Degree now OPEN
Did you know TAFE NSW are now accepting early entries into its Degree Programs? Your students can now apply for a Degree and receive a conditional offer before they get their HSC results! With some degrees fully online they will get an industry-recognised qualification that can change their future.
Australia Apprenticeships Pathways
A first step into an industry or career pathway can start with apprenticeships or traineeships in industries like community services and health, travel and tourism, communication and information technology, financial services, agriculture and horticulture, and government.

University of Newcastle: NEW in 2019 – Bachelor of Global Indigenous Studies
The new Bachelor of Global Indigenous Studies will provide students with the chance to learn about working effectively with local and global communities using Indigenous knowledge systems to respond to ecological, social and economic challenges.
Students will be supported by the Wollotuka Institute within the University of Newcastle who are committed to the advancement of Indigenous education at a local, national and international level. They could find themselves in a range of vocations that require social innovation and digital excellence, utilising critical Indigenous knowledge to address pressing global issues. This degree is designed to deliver culturally secure and innovative social advocates and is open to all students.

New Biomedical Science Degree
Students in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science will now be able to tailor their degree towards a specialisation by completing a Sub Major in their final year. Options include Cellular Pathology, Microbiology and Host Responses or Biochemistry and Molecular Diagnostic.
Applications Open for UNSW Women in Engineering Camp 2019
For any female student going into Year 11 or 12 in 2019 – applications for the 2019 UNSW Women in Engineering Camp are now open! The 3-day residential program will run from 7th-9th January 2019. Participants will take part in site visits, workshops, networking events and more.
