Year 12 Careers Conference – ‘Beyond the School Gates’
Would you like to join Year 12 students for a working lunch?
Life beyond the Loreto Normanhurst school gates can be incredibly exciting for many Year 12 students. Learning to navigate these early post school years can, however, be challenging with dreams and hopes often not going to plan or university courses not working out – the trials and tribulations of life beyond school.
This year we are holding a Year 12 Careers Conference to look at some of the issues students may face after school which we hope will assist the girls as they begin to prepare for life ‘Beyond the School Gates’.
We are seeking volunteers to join Year 12 students for a working lunch at the conference.
Keynote speaker Jen Harwood is an award-winning inspirational and motivational speaker on the topics of business networking, leadership, confidence and building great teams. She will inspire and motivate the girls to build confidence with their networking skills and her presentation will be followed by lunch where the girls will have the opportunity to practice what they have learnt.
We are looking for volunteers to join Year 12 students at lunch to practice chatting to people they don’t know, asking questions and listening to responses – the valuable skills of networking which is required in all industries today.
Date: Thursday 28 June
Time: 11.30am-1.30pm (presentation and lunch)
Venue: Loreto Normanhurst Gymnasium
If you would like to join us or would like more information please email the careers office or phone 02 9473 7424.
