2018 Careers Expo – wow!
The annual Careers Expo was held on Wednesday evening and with over 50 ex-students and friends of Loreto Normanhurst attending to talk about their careers, the girls were awash with career choice.
There was a real buzz in the Gonzaga Barry Centre as the girls listened and engaged in conversation, hearing personal career stories – the highs and lows, the challenges and the passion. The students were informed and inspired.
All Sydney-based universities attended along with representatives from ANU, Newcastle and Canberra. Many Private Colleges, TAFE and Gap Year providers were also onsite to answer questions and provide course guidance. Having so many providers ‘under the one roof’ allowed students to get a sense of the vast array of possibilities, pathways and post school opportunities available.
A sincere thank you to all the presenters for supporting the event. Many come back year after year kindly giving their time and sharing their passion. Thank you also to the girls and parents for coming along with open and inquiring minds prepared to talk and engage with career professionals to discover their possibilities.
