CAREERS EXPO 2018 – an invitation to all students and parents
BE INSPIRED & DISCOVER YOUR POSSIBILITIES
Wednesday 9 May 7pm – 8.30pm
As we move through the senior years of school there is increasing pressure on young people to make a decision about what they will do when they finish school. Decision making becomes ‘easier’ when young people know something of themselves, have learnt about work and have explored different career types.
The Annual Loreto Normanhurst Careers Expo is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore work, careers and people’s career journeys. Throughout the evening students, with their parents, are able to explore different careers of interest by speaking one-on-one to experienced people working in their fields.
This is a very informal, casual and relaxed evening with career representatives available for students and parents to approach for discussion. A number of universities, private colleges and Gap Year organisations will also be onsite to answer any questions.
By the end of the evening students are informed, and often inspired, armed with knowledge about subjects, courses, prerequisites and they walk away knowing a little more about the options and pathways available.
We hope you are able to join us on Wednesday 9 May. If you have any questions about the event please don’t hesitate to email the Careers Team or contact us on 9473 7424.

The Careers team at Loreto Normanhurst can help in many ways including: subject selection, work experience, writing resumes, gap year options, part time work and post school pathways.
The Careers Office is open to all students. We are available in the office, located in the LRC, before and after school, and at recess and lunch. Girls are most welcome to drop in but at times we can be busy with students, so the best thing to do is to send an email indicating your availability or drop in with your diary to schedule a time.
