Career Meetings

The Careers Office is open to all students.  We are usually in the office before and after school and at recess and lunch.  Girls are most welcome to drop in but at times we can be busy with students, so the best thing to do is to send an email to Mrs Carmel Donnan or  Ms Katrina Smith indicating your availability or drop in with your diary to schedule a time.

2016 Careers Expo – A Hugh Success

The annual careers evening was held last week.  Over 50 ex-students, parents and others chatted to students and their parents about their work and career journey to date.  All Sydney based universities attended along with representatives from ANU, Newcastle, Wollongong and Charles Sturt University.   Many Private Colleges, Tafe and Gap Year providers were also on site.

A big thank you to all the presenters for supporting the event, many come back year after year.  Thank you also to the girls for coming along with open and inquiring minds prepared to talk and learn about prospective careers, courses and learning opportunities.

International Women’s Day – Defence Force High Tea

On Tuesday four girls from Years 10-12 attended the Defence force High Tea at The Gunners’ Barracks, Mosman for International Women’s Day.  The theme this year was ‘Dare to Lead’.  Hearing from three inspiring defence force women was enlightening as they shared their career stories, challenges and achievements in a male dominated field.  The main ‘walk away’ for the girls was the need to believe in yourself, rise to challenges, brush yourself off when you fail and ‘fake it till you make it’!
