Work Experience – Real Learning from the Real World
Work Experience is an invaluable way for students to learn about possible careers and get a glimpse of the world of work.
While we don’t run a compulsory work experience program at Loreto Normanhurst it is still possible to take part in work experience. Each year we have a number of students who do some work experience, usually during their holidays. Students usually use their family network to find their own placement or approach a business known to them. The Careers Office can assist with the necessary paperwork including work experience insurance.
If you have any questions or would like to know more please pop into the Careers office or email us.

Would you like to make an appointment with a Careers Advisor?
We welcome all students from all year groups.
Anyone can make an appointment with a careers advisor. We are usually in the office – located in the LRC – before and after school and at recess and lunch. Students are most welcome to drop in but at times we can be busy, so the best thing to do is to send an email indicating your availability or drop in with your diary to schedule a time.
Please note the new email address: careers@loretonh.nsw.edu.au. For any enquiries or to make an appointment please email us.
