Did You Know?

We have many staff members who have had a variety of careers before they discovered teaching? –

Law, Physiotherapy, Acting, Social Work, Engineering, Genetics, Catering to name a few.  This week during Year 9 Integrated lessons students had the opportunity to hear from a panel of staff who shared their career journey’s to date.   The girls heard about failure, wrong choices, chance events that impacted a career path, parental pressure and expectations to pursue a career and the successes and passion that blossomed.  It was a wonderful insight into career journeys and the possible challenges and trials that may be faced in the future.

We would like to thank the staff who gave up their time to share their story with the girls.

Gap Year Opportunities

This week Year 11 students were invited to a lunch time session on gap year opportunities for 2018.  Imogen Cox (2014) shared her UK Boarding school experiences and a range of other opportunities were presented.  Students thinking about a gap year are welcome to come to the careers office to discuss their options and get support with their application.

We Welcome All Students in All Years
