Did You Know?

The IT industry in Australia is currently developing innovative programs (such as “Dream IT”) to inspire women and girls (in particular in the earlier stages of high school) to explore the range of opportunities available in the technology industry. They believe early empowerment of girls through STEM subjects at school will bring the balance of skills and leadership back to the rapidly expanding IT industry in the future and help alleviate the growing IT skills gap in Australia.

Qantas Indigenous Careers Program: School Based Traineeship


Qantas is seeking applications from current year 10 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who are interested in a School-Based Traineeship with Qantas. The Traineeships provide an opportunity to kick-start a career in aviation by learning on-the-job skills and operations. Successful applicants will be working one day per week while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
