SYDNEY UNIVERSITY – SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students currently in Year 10:
Sydney University is introducing mathematics course prerequisites for some courses from 2019 to ‘help students thrive in their science, technology, engineering and mathematics related degrees and prepare them to tackle future career challenges’.
Students will need to achieve Band 4 in the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) Mathematics (not General Mathematics) to enroll in a range of courses, including economics, commerce, engineering and IT, psychology, pharmacy, veterinary science and science.
UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY: DR KARL’S SHORT BACK AND SCIENCE
6 April 2016, 5:45pm to 7pm, York Lecture Theatre, Seymour Centre
Dr Karl Kruszelnicki will explore various science questions throughout the lecture. Some of these include looking at the Galapagos Islands and how radioactive you are.

The Network aims to teach girls how to code as well as provide insight into what it is like to be a girl in IT. Workshops run on the aforementioned dates at the University of Sydney.
