For ALL students applying to University and Colleges in NSW for 2017 AND/OR deferring their studies

The UAC Guides have arrived and will be distributed when the girls finish their trial exams.  UAC applications open Wednesday 3 August 2016.  If students apply before Friday September 30 2016 the cost is $41.00, but after this date the cost increases to $166.00.

Please note:

The following information is a guide to the various schemes that will open in early August.  The UAC process and each scheme will be explained in detail to all Year 12 students after their trial examinations.

Educational Access Schemes (EAS)

This scheme is for students who’ve experienced long-term educational disadvantage during Years 11 and/or 12 as a result of circumstances beyond their control or choosing.  To apply applicants need to be able to demonstrate that their educational performance has been seriously affected as a result of circumstances beyond their control or choosing.  And be able to demonstrate that those circumstances were present for a period of at least 6 months during Year 11 and/or Year 12.

In order to support the application – the Loreto Normanhurst deadline is Thursday September 8.

Applications forms are available from the Careers Office or online from August 3.

For more information please call the Careers Office on 02 9473 7424 or call UAC directly 1300 275 822

Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS)

SRS are one way institutions who make early offers to current Year 12 students, using criteria other than (or in addition to) ATARs.  These criteria include school recommendations, senior secondary studies and personal achievements.

Application close at Midnight 30 September 2016.

After this date students cannon access or modify their SRS application.

Come and Meet a Careers Advisor

Students are most welcome and encouraged to drop in with their diaries to book a meeting or send an email indicating their availability.  We are open before and after school and during lunch time.
