Defence Force Gap Year

A Gap Year in the Australian Defence Force is a great way to get a feel for an exciting career in the Navy, Army or Air Force, while gaining life skills and developing leadership qualities you can take anywhere.

Congratulations to Georgia Nimmo who has been made an offer from the Australia Defence Force – Navy for their 2017 Gap Year program.

I decided to apply for the Navy Defence Force Gap Year after wanting to experience a passion of mine to serve in the Australian Defence Force and gain experiences beyond any civilian workplace along with gaining new friendships and life skills. By gaining an extraordinary opportunity I am hoping to broaden my knowledge and understanding of Australia’s defence force and their hard work to protect the nation whilst also challenging myself physical and mentally. Through this experience I am hoping to achieve guidance in my future endeavours, continuing my career within the Navy.
