Leaders and Achievers Update – Macquarie University
Thank you to everyone who has promoted this scheme to their students. We’ve received an overwhelming response with a large amount of students applying in time to be considered for the first offer round in August.
Applications close 5pm, Monday 26 August 2019
Every effort will be made to assess all applications in time for the September offer round (12 September). However, if there is a large volume of applicants on the last day or two, submissions received in the lead up to the closing date may only be processed in time for the October offer round (3 October). Please advise students to complete and submit their applications as soon as possible so that they can participate in both remaining offer rounds.
Preference closing dates
Preference closing dates are not to be confused with application deadlines. Close of preference dates are the deadlines for students to lock in their preferences before an offer round.
Students who list an education course as a preference
These students must complete a short survey before they are considered for an offer to an education degree. A pop up message will appear when they choose an education course directing them to this survey.

Early Offers from Higher Educational Institutions
Early offer closing dates 2019
If you’re interested in applying to Uni and receiving a conditional offer* before you’ve sat your exams, then there’s still chance to apply to some of the early offer schemes around Australia.
* A “conditional offer” means it’s based on your predicted ATAR score. It’s not guaranteed, you’ll have to achieve your predicted or higher score to be able to accept the offer. Most offers from Uni, but not all, are issued on this proviso.
If you know where you want to study and what you want to do, then you could save yourself some stress by knowing you already have an offer in the pipeline and an application in. Then you can knuckle down to getting the best ATAR you possibly can.
