Celebration of community has a special place at Loreto Normanhurst and there is no greater reflection of the commitment of our community than the Spring Fair held last Sunday. Months of planning culminated in a day filled with joy and friendship, all built on the solid foundations of our shared values.  It is with temendous gratitude that we thank the Spring Fair Committee chaired by PAL Presidents Sue Whipps and Louise Wytenburg and indeed the entire Loreto parent community for their support of the Fair and their generosity in the weeks leading up to the event. A special mention must be made of the 120 Years Pavilion which was a highlight of the Fair.  An initiative of the Parent Association and through the generous sponsorship of Louis Carr Real Estate, the Pavilion showcased many archival treasures which have never before been displayed.  Ex-students, past, current and future parents and students delighted in taking a journey into Loreto Normanhurst’s past.

This year, as we celebrate our 120th year of Loreto Normanhurst education, we have had the opportunity to commemorate this significant milestone in many ways.  One in particular which I would like to mention is the creation of a coffee table book – “120 Inspirational Loreto Women” – a publication which acknowledges and celebrates the achievements and contributions of outstanding Loreto women in the School’s history.  The book, which will be treasured by the Loreto community, captures the very heart of Loreto Normanhurst through a series of photographs of inspirational Loreto women, short biographies and inspirational words of wisdom and reflection.  Details of how you can obtain a copy of the book will be emailed in coming weeks.

We are very grateful to those parents, ex-students, past families and friends of Loreto Normanhurst who generously support the school through philanthropic gifts.  Gifts can be made through bequests, the Annual Giving Program and support of the Building and Bursary Funds.  Please contact me to discuss how your generosity will assist the students of Loreto Normanhurst.
